I am pleased to be a part of such a great group of therapists who use Dr. McBride’s 5 step recovery model for adult children of narcissistic parents. I have recommended her book “Will I Ever Be Good Enough?” often to my clients. My clients have loved the book and it has helped them view their childhood and relationship with their mothers in a whole new light. I specialize in working with women and the “story” that they carry throughout their life. The story of being a child of a narcissistic parent is a tough one to carry and I am so pleased to be able to use such a great tool to help guide my clients to recovery.
I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with relationship problems, feelings of being overwhelmed, career, family matters, feelings of shame and unworthiness, anxiety/stress, depression and life transitions. I also work with couples with regard to communication issues, time management and relationship break-downs.
I believe that the relationship between the counselor and the client is very important. I feel that real change can begin in an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. That is why I aim to create a safe environment where clients feel validated and understood.
