Having experienced the struggles of growing up with a parent who has narcissistic tendencies, I very much empathize with those on a healing journey from narcissistic abuse. The impacts of growing up with a narcissistic parent are complex and require specialized treatment to acknowledge and receive validation, and ultimately a deeper sense of self. While oftentimes these relationships leave individuals feeling confused and uncertain, healing is very much a possibility.
Dr. McBride’s 5-step recovery model has had a profound impact on individuals who have experienced narcissistic relationships and family systems. The model provides a clear and effective roadmap for those who have struggled to establish healthy boundaries and relationships due to their upbringing.
I have experienced a number of roles, situations, struggles, and in a variety of arenas, that I lean on to extend authentic empathy and compassion making my clients feel heard and seen, all of which are crucial to working with unique challenges faced by adult children of narcissistic parents.
My clinical background includes working with couples struggling with infidelity, intimacy, family conflict, life transitions, and communication issues and individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and relationship issues specifically narcissistic abuse.
I have a private pay practice and provide in person and telehealth sessions to Missouri residents.
