Dr. McBride’s 5-Step Recovery Model provides a comprehensive approach for healing from narcissistic parental abuse that is based on attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma research. As a survivor of emotional incest and narcissistic parenting myself, I am passionate about supporting other survivors on their healing journey.
My name is Anthony Dimitrion. I am an attachment-informed psychotherapist and AASECT certified sex therapist. I believe that we as humans are innately wired for authentic expression and connection. When we are in connection with a safe, supportive other, we have the opportunity to heal old attachment wounds, rewrite limiting or shaming beliefs, and reaffirm our innate resiliency. This ultimately allows for a secure, authentic sense of self to emerge. My practice specializes in supporting survivors of childhood trauma, narcissistic abuse, and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I integrate Dr. McBride’s 5-Step Recovery Model with attachment-informed, trauma modalities including: Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (Level 2 Certified), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (Level 2 Certified), and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
My practice is gay-owned, sex-positive, and affirming of sexuality, gender, and relationship diversity (LGBTQ+ Affirmative).
