I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Owner of New Patterns Counseling. I provide online counseling services to clients in Virginia and the District of Columbia. I am certified in Dr. McBride’s five-step model of recovery.
I specialize in relational trauma therapy for individuals and couples, with a specific focus on providing an antagonism informed approach to survivors of narcissistic abuse, whether that be for adult children of narcissistic parents, partners of narcissistic partners, and those who have experienced the harm of narcissistic patterns of behavior within their family systems, professional relationships, and other systems.
I utilize Dr. McBride’s five-step model of recovery and I am a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC). I also provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy with clients who’ve experienced relational trauma because when it comes to relational trauma, our bodies hold those memories. This body-based approach can be powerful for survivors of narcissistic abuse who are seeking to heal from emotional wounds of neglect, abandonment, and abuse.
In my work with clients, I take a warm, empathic, gentle approach, honoring your pace, as a compassionate witness to your experience. Because relational trauma happens in the context of important relationships, I take intentional care to help you track
your experiences in our therapeutic relationship. You will be believed from the very first conversation we have in the initial phone call.
My practice, New Patterns Counseling, is in Richmond, VA and I provide online teletherapy to clients across the state of Virginia and the District of Columbia. I’m an out-of-network provider, and I can provide clients with documentation to submit to insurance at the out-of-network benefits level.
