I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in San Clemente, California. After being in practice for several years, I started noticing a trend in many of my clients. Many didn't understand their feelings and felt confused and emotionally distant from their mothers. These feelings were also impacting their current relationships. I have found Dr. McBride's book, "Will I Ever Be Good Enough" to be a great resource to my clients and being trained in the 5 Step Model, I believe I have the tools along with professional experience to assist my clients who have narcissistic parents.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults in my practice. I have been licensed since 2012 and working with clients since 2003. Much of my experience has been working with adolescents at an emergency shelter for children, working with adults at a community medical clinic, and my private practice. I like helping my clients with some of the following challenges: ADHD, anxiety and depression, premarital/marriage counseling, loss of a beloved pet, and women who feel like they have lost themselves along the way. I also teach online courses, outside of my private practice on various topics such as: minors in possession, sexting, bullying, and anger management.
I am not currently on insurance panels, however, I can check your out of network benefits and provide you with a superbill. In some circumstances, I am able to offer an adjusted rate for clients with financial difficulties.
