Living through the experience of parental narcissistic abuse can be overwhelming having a significant impact on one's sense of identity, confidence, and self-worth. Dr. McBride's 5-step recovery model supports those impacted through a progressive process that supports rebuilding of one's identity. Each step addresses an aspect of one's sense of self and life that is impacted by narcissistic abuse leading into client's healing journey. The steps consider each individual's unique experiences and can be adapted when required to those needs. Healing from parental narcissistic abuse can feel challenging without support, but the 5-step recovery model lays out a manageable plan that the client can approach in therapy.

I specialise in working with adults who have experienced complex and developmental trauma and grief in their lives. I support client's in re-discovering their sense of identity which can be significantly impacted due to trauma, loss, and grief. I am trained in Brainspotting, HeartMath, Existential Therapy, and Therapeutic Arts. I apply an integrative and eclectic approach to therapy through a person-centered lens that prioritises client care.
