Therapist Referral Network

Jodi Silverman, LCSW (PA, NJ), LICSW (MA), Online in DE, FL, MA, NJ and PA)

Through my extensive training and work with betrayal and interpersonal trauma I came to realize that many of the people I was serving presented in similar ways.  Although they were coming for help with a recent relational trauma, it seemed we were always able to trace relational hurts back to childhood and a primary caregiver.  In alignment with the collapse that Dr. McBride notes in her extensive training, this discovery would create a pivot in which the healing had to start with accepting and grieving the original wounding.  From there we work through the traumas and begin the process of individuation and reparenting ultimately leading to a deep trust in one’s own intuition.  Each time someone says, “...and then I realized that I am my own person!” or “I can see myself through my own eyes instead of the eyes of someone else!”, I know we are on the right path.  When I read Dr. McBride’s book and completed her training I felt both validated and supported in the difficult work I support people in doing.  My passion is in supporting people in this journey as they find and align with their inner wisdom, build intimate connections and begin to live with purpose and intention.  My hope is that being a part of the registry will help people who are struggling in this way find me.

I am a Clinical Social Worker, fellow human and consciousness guide.  I consider myself to be a holistic integrative practitioner with the intention of holding safe space for your healing, learning and growth.  I am most passionate about helping you find meaning, purpose and connection through learning to trust your own intuition.

I have extensive experience in working with interpersonal and betrayal trauma and I am trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model for treating partners of sex addicts.  Dr. McBride’s 5-Step Recovery Model has provided me with a solid framework and map for supporting those who seek healing from the wounds caused by narcissistic caregivers.  The straightforward steps provide structure and a container for the difficult work that lies ahead for those who choose to embark on this healing journey.  I have a gentle, supportive and relational approach to supporting people through processing trauma using interventions such as Emotional Freedom Technique, Somatic Processing and Reiki.

I work with male, female and non-binary adults with a particular passion for working with young adults. I am LGBTQIA* and Neurodiveristy affirming. I do not take insurance however I can provide you with a superbill which can be submitted to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. I meet with individuals both in person and virtually. My physical location is in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia, PA and I provide virtual sessions to individuals who are physically located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Delaware and Massachusetts.
