Kate Alexander, MSW, LCSW (Denver, CO and Online in CO) Level II Certification

After reading Dr. McBride’s books and attending her Level I and Level II therapist trainings, I am grateful and excited to be able to use McBride’s 5-step recovery model with the young adults in my practice. The sequenced structure of the recovery model has been incredibly helpful in guiding my clients in their process of navigating and working through their family of origin trauma. Understanding and validating the impact of narcissistic parenting has been an invaluable tool to assist and treat this important issue.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Colorado with fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I’ve worked in public and private clinical settings and specialize in the following:

  • Treating children of narcissistic parents
  • Trauma
  • Grief
  • PTSD and CPTSD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Anger management
  • Sexual abuse
  • Divorce adjustment
  • Problematic sexual behaviors in children
  • Life transition issues
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Attachment trauma
  • Individuation

I have great passion for working with children, teens, and young adults. This has given me the ability and experience to understand, validate, and help young individuals find and express their authentic sense of self.
