When I first read Dr. McBride’s book, Will I Ever Be Good Enough?, I felt relieved, validated, and encouraged. The relief I experienced came from finally seeing and feeling that my own experience as an Adult Daughter of a Narcissistic Mother could be identified and articulated – but even more importantly – that there was a given, true, and thorough path to recovery. As a therapist, I’ve been thankful and excited to be able to share Dr. McBride’s wisdom with my clients. Now that I’m certified in the 5-step recovery model, I’m all the more excited to be able to offer a genuine healing process to my clients!
In addition to my work with adult children of narcissistic parents, I focus on relationships, as they are central to our lives. I have more than 20 years' experience working with individuals, couples, and children using a variety of integrative techniques. These techniques include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic counseling, attachment theory, adult-children-of-alcoholics expertise, and sandtray therapy, to address a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, addiction, communication, and personal growth. Skype sessions are available, insurance is accepted, and a sliding fee scale is an option.
