Dr. McBride’s training, in combination with my personal and professional experience, enables me to work compassionately, collaboratively, and effectively with clients who grieve, heal, strengthen their boundaries, step into their full power, and create the relationships with self and others that they seek.
I’m a warm, experienced, interactive therapist who brings a compassionate heart, an active mind, and a calm presence to this work. I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to therapy. I’m deeply interested in learning what you know about yourself, including your strengths, pivotal experiences, and challenges. Integrating techniques from therapeutic models such as Dr. McBride's and cognitive-behavioral therapy, my approach to our work is attuned to your individuality and refined by your input along the way. I'm skilled at working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adults with narcissistic partners or who are children of narcissistic parents, workplace issues, losses and life transitions of all kinds, and a wide variety of other challenges. I bring diverse professional and life experience, a sensitivity to culture and all other components of your identity, and an array of tools that you can use to find the growth, solutions, well-being, or healing you seek.
I work with adults and families, I have a sliding scale, and I provide a statement at any time for insurance reimbursement. I know it can be hard to reach out when you're dealing with an emotionally intense challenge, and it can be hard to find a therapist who feels like a good fit. I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation to see if that feels like a good start to our collaboration.
